Blocklist

The Blocklist stores email addresses of customers who should no longer receive messages from you. Once an address appears here, the platform automatically blocks any outgoing emails to it – even if that person is still in your customer database.

Each blocked address appears in a table with the following details:

  • Email – the email address that’s been blocked.
  • Reason – Why the address was blocked. This could be:
    • Manually added,
    • Imported from a file,
    • Too many soft bounces (temporary delivery issues),
    • “Unknown user” bounce (email address doesn’t exist)
  • Added by – the system or process that placed the address on the list, e.g., EmailBouncerProcessor.
  • Added on – the date and time the address was added.
  • Delete – You can remove the address from the list manually, if needed.

Once a customer’s email address is on the list, they will not receive any messages from you, even if they are still in your customer database.

How emails get blocked

Most email addresses are added to the blocklist automatically, as long as your email channel is set up properly. This helps you maintain a healthy sender reputation by avoiding repeated bounces or sending messages to inactive addresses.

How to add emails to the blocklist

You can also add addresses manually in two ways:

1. Import from file

  • Upload a file containing the email addresses you want to block.
  • Accepted formats: .CSV, .TXT, .XLS, .XLSX, .ZIP
  • Max file size: 31 MB
  • The file should contain only email addresses—no extra columns or headers.

2. Add manually

  • Use the Add button to enter up to 1,000 email addresses directly into the platform.
