SMS gateway integration

Here, you can configure the SMS service that allows you to send SMS messages to your customers.

Currently, SMSAPI is the only service we have integrated our platform with, hence the requirement to have an account there. If you have an account with another SMS provider, the SMS service on our platform will not work.

You can integrate the SMSAPI service in the ExpertSender CDP platform in 3 steps.

Step 1: Get the authorization token from SMSAPI

API token (OAuth) will allow you to send SMS messages. To get the API token:

1. Log in to your SMSAPI account.
2. In the SMSAPI panel, go to the API Settings > API Tokens (OAuth) section.
3. Click Generate token and copy it immediately – the token is displayed only once.

Step 2: Add your SMS gateway to ExpertSender CDP

1. Log in to ExpertSender CDP.
2. In the side menu, select Settings > SMS > Gateways.
3. Click the Add gateway button.
4. Enter any name under which your configured gateway will be visible in the table.
5. In the Gateway field, select SMSAPI.
6. In the Endpoint field, select the gateway version set during account configuration in SMSAPI:
   • smsapi.io
   • smsapi.pl
   • smsapi.com
7. In the Authorization section, paste the API Token you copied earlier.
8. Click Check connection
9. After successful connection, the gateway will be visible in the table in Settings > Gateways.
10. Save the entered data.

Step 3: Add the Callback address to SMSAPI

1. After creating the gateway in the ExpertSender CDP platform, copy the address visible in the table in the Callback column.
2. Go to the SMSAPI panel and paste this address into the API Settings > Callback addresses section.

That’s all! You can now start designing and sending SMS messages to your customers.
