Inserting products from catalog in your content
The Products block in the drag & drop editor lets you choose specific products from your catalog and display them directly in an email or on-site content. You pick the products you want, and the editor renders them using data from your product feed.
Use this when you want to feature specific items, such as a new collection, bestsellers, or a curated set.
Before you start
- You need at least one active website with a configured product catalog.
- Products from catalog option is available in email newsletters, A/B emails, scenario emails, pop-ups, and banners.
Adding a ‘Products’ block with catalog selection
- In the drag & drop editor, drag the Products block into your content.
- In the right panel, open the Select type dropdown and choose Catalog products.
- Under Select website, select the website whose catalog you want to browse.
- The website with the lowest ID is pre-selected by default.
- Changing the website clears any products you’ve already selected.
- Click Select products to open the product picker.

Selecting products in the picker
The product picker shows up to 50 products from your catalog at once. Search and filter to find what you’re looking for.
- In the All tab, browse or search products by name, ID, or category.
- Click a product card to select it. Selected products are highlighted with a pink border.
- Switch to the Selected tab at any time to review your full product selection.
- Use the Available filter to show only in-stock products (default) or all products regardless of availability.
- Use the sort controls to order products alphabetically by name or by ID.
- When you’re done, click Save to apply the selection and close the picker.
You can select up to 20 products per block. Once you reach the limit, unselected product cards become non-clickable until you remove some from your selection. To remove a product, click it in the Selected products tab or use Clear all to start over.
Managing selected products
After saving, your selected products appear as a list in the right panel.
- Reorder – drag the handle next to a product to change its display order.
- Remove – click the delete button next to a product to remove it from the list immediately.
- Edit selection – click Select products again to reopen the picker with your current selection pre-loaded.
How products appear in the editor working space#
Until you select products, the working space shows a placeholder with a cart icon and the text “Select products in block settings.”
After selecting products, the editor renders each product card using the data captured at the time of selection – image, name, price, and other configured fields. All other Products block settings (layout, colors, price display options) work the same as with other block types.
The editor working space shows a snapshot of product data from the moment of selection. If your catalog changes later (price update, new image), the canvas won’t refresh automatically. To update the display, remove the affected products and re-add them from the picker.
Using ‘Catalog products’ in the scenario emails
When using a ‘Catalog products’ option inside a scenario email, the website selected in the block must match the website configured in the scenario’s start point. If they don’t match, you’ll see an error notification when saving the scenario.
For banners and pop-ups, the website is taken from the content’s basic settings, not from the block itself.
Limits and coexistence with Recommendations
- You can add up to 5 ‘Products from catalog’ blocks in a single content.
- Products from catalog blocks can coexist with Recommendations-type blocks in the same content.
What happens if a product goes out of stock before sending?
The email uses the product data captured at the time of selection. A product being out of stock or removed from the catalog does not block the send – the message is always delivered. If you want to reflect the latest catalog state, reopen the picker before sending and update your selection.
